Is Indoor airPLUS a green building program?

Indoor airPLUSNo. Indoor airPLUS is not a comprehensive green building program because it is specifically focused on indoor air quality. However, indoor air quality is a vital aspect of green building - all green buildings should be healthy buildings. Therefore, EPA urges all green building program participants to participate in Indoor airPLUS. EPA is working with green building programs to meet shared goals, and major green building programs already incorporate some Indoor airPLUS features. For example, US Green Building Council's LEED for Homes program recognizes Indoor airPLUS qualification as an alternative path to achieving EQ credits toward LEED certification.
