How is children's health affected by exposure to environmental tobacco smoke?

EPA’s findings, along with the findings in the 2006 U.S. Surgeon General's report, show a negative effect on children’s health from environmental tobacco smoke exposure. Also, exposure increases the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
